This week’s guest is a talented artist who has a deep love for shaping metal with fire and hammers. Celeste is a Blacksmith who owns her own business and does both functional/structural work as well as intricate highly artistic work. Her passion for teaching and sharing her craft is as strong as her passion for the work itself. Celeste teaches students from age 12 to 70s at a school of industrial arts called The Crucible in California. She has also served on the board for the California Blacksmith Association and the executive team at The Crucible.

She is an Automotive Technician, the owner of Steelettos Garage, a mom, and an advocate for women in the trades. In this episode from the archives, Jasmine shares her story of getting into the industry, the bumps and challenges along the way, and what her experience was like as not only a woman in the industry, but as a black woman in the industry.
We talk life balance, learning to love and accept yourself, and going after what you want while rolling with the curve balls life throws at us. Guest:  Laura Mulkeen - Pipe Welder 
Laura Mulkeen is a ridiculously talented pipe welder that joined us all the way from Ireland for this episode. She left a successful career in event management to pursue what she discovered was her true love - welding. Her passion and love for what she does is apparent in both her work and how she talks about it. When this episode was filmed, she was just starting a brand new chapter once again and had JUST gotten keys to her own shop to begin a new journey in fabrication. Guest:  Kystal Hess - Nurse, Motorcycle Builder and Founder of Motorcycle Missions
Krystal Hess had a love of custom vehicles since she was a teenager. Wanting to learn more, she offered to work for free at local auto shops but was rejected. Years later her passion was revived while in a relationship with a custom motorcycle builder. Krystal gets vulnerable and shares the fallout and trauma from this relationship and her past relationship. She shares how rebuilding a motorcycle showed her how to rebuild herself which led to the founding of Motorcycle Missions, a nonprofit that helps Veterans and First Responders with PTSD find help and healing through motorcycle therapy.

After dropping out of high school and finding herself on her own at 16, Melissa Phelan was left without direction. Years later with a car that needed a lot of work and the purchase of a small welding machine, Missy found herself driven to go back to school to learn all she could about welding. Today she is an auto body tech, welder, robotics technician, robotics programmer, brand ambassador for Everlast and an advocate for women in the trades. While educating us on her story and her diversity of experiences, Missy gives words of wisdom for women and anyone already in or wanting to get into the industry.
